CONVICTED. E. Robert Wallach, 55, San Francisco lawyer and close associate of former Attorney General Edwin Meese; of racketeering in connection with lobbying efforts for the defunct Wedtech Corp.; in New York City. The jury found that Wallach and co-defendants W. Franklyn Chinn and R. Kent London received a total of more than $1.5 million worth of cash and stock from the company for using their influence with federal officials. Wallach faces a sentence of up to 45 years in prison and $1.3 million in fines.
